Update: Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester has been named "Orchestra of the Year"! - Oper Frankfurt Named "Opera House of the Year" Once Again

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that our orchestra, under the baton of Thomas Guggeis (notably for Ligeti’s Le Grand Macabre), has been voted Orchestra of the Year alongside the Bavarian State Orchestra after a recount of the votes!

But that’s not all: Oper Frankfurt has also been awarded Opera House of the Year for the eighth time—and the third time in a row—by "Opernwelt". Our diverse and innovative repertoire continues to make waves!

We’re also incredibly proud of Lydia Steier, who was named Director of the Year for her bold production of Aida, and of Matthew Wild’s Tannhäuser, which was recognized as Production of the Year. Our chorus has achieved something remarkable as well: for the third year in a row, they’ve been named Chorus of the Year! And a big shoutout to John Osborn, who was honored as Singer of the Year for his performance in La Juive.

These awards mean the world to us, giving us even more motivation to continue delivering extraordinary musical experiences for you all.

P.S.: Check out upcoming performances at Oper Frankfurt under the "Schedule" section.
