Frankfurt has a new, exciting concert series!
In the "Hellhörig" concerts, we members of the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra make music in the middle of the city: in the Katharinenkirche at the Hauptwache. The time of day is also unusual: starting on May 3, the concerts begin every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. under the motto: "45 minutes of music - nothing else.
But that's not quite true. Admission is free, but the "Hellhörig" concerts are held for a good cause. In May, we will be collecting donations for ukrainian people seeking protection from the war in Frankfurt. The "Ukrainischer Verein in Frankfurt e.V." takes care of newly arrived children from Ukraine. It organizes mother-tongue Saturday schools, leisure activities and excursions. Because despite everything, children should be allowed to be children!
We would like to support this work together with you.
The series "Hellhörig" will take place from now on always in spring (May) and in autumn (September). With these benefit concerts, we as an orchestra would like to consciously fulfill our social responsibility. We want to play an active role in shaping the cultural and social life of Frankfurt and beyond. Because culture can do more.
Opening concert on May 3, 1:15 p.m., Katharinenkirche (Hauptwache)
