Can you spontaneously name five female composers or five female conductors? No? That's not because of you - but because of the systematic discrimination of women in
(music) history. To change this, the "Archiv Frau&Musik" in Frankfurt has been documenting women's music history for 40 years and promoting women who make music. As one of the world's largest international research institutions in this field, the archive makes a significant contribution to cultural policy by collecting, promoting and communicating the creative work of women composers.
We, the members of the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester, would like to support this valuable work with our concert series hellhörig@hauptwache.
To this end, we will be playing every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. from October 10 to November 7 in the Katharinenkirche at the Hauptwache.
In the middle of the city, in the middle of the day, the concerts are open to all Frankfurt residents free of charge.
In 45 minutes each, you can experience the full diversity of our orchestra.
