First concert: a complete success with great reach

On June 15, the first "Mahnwache für Musikkultur LIVE" took place in the Katherinenkirche.

After a welcome by the initiator from the Museumsorchester, Regine Schmitt, the head of the department of culture, Dr. Ina Hartwig, gave a welcoming speech. She emphasized the indispensable role of music for society and thanked the Museumsorchester for its charitable commitment.

Afterwards, the string quintet op. 77 by Antonin Dvořák, played by Ingo de Haas, Jörg Hammann, Bruno Suys, Philipp Nickel and Mikhail Nemtsov, was heard in front of an almost full house (under corona conditions).

In the run-up to the event, the press reported (Frankfurter Rundschau, Frankfurter Neue Presse and hr2): https://www.fr.de/frankfurt/frankfurt-konzerte-nach-der-stille-90799971.html

On the evening of the first concert there was a major report in the Hessenschau.

Until 20.7. inclusive, the 45-minute concerts will take place every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at St. Katharinenkirche/Hauptwache. No daily negative coronatest is required!
